ABLE BASSMAKER VINTAGE GUITAR EFFECTS PEDAL - VERY RARE OCTAVER EFFECT This auction is for an Able Bassmaker vintage guitar effects pedal. Very rare to find these days. In excellent working and cosmetic condition. It is powered by any 9 volt dc adaptor (adaptor not included in auction). Auction is for the pedal only, no box or instructions are included. The bassmaker acts as an intelligent octaver. A filtering process allows the octaver section to kick in on only the the lowest notes. This means that when you play a chord, the bassmaker will only play the root note of that chord (an octave below what is played) while allowing the rest of the chord to ring out normally. When used for playing lead guitar (or any single note playing), the bassmaker acts as a straight octaver (playing an octave below the pitch played). You can hear an audio example of the pedal here: http://soundcloud.com/discofreq/able-electronics-bassmaker Postage will be £3.00 to the UK, £5.00 to Europe and £8.00 to the rest of the world. |

90's Able Bassmaker
This is an interesting idea for a pedal, and pretty well done, most octave effects sound like dogshit. Also the link is to a recording of a cassette that the company made demonstrating the effects which is pretty awesome. Apparently there was another unit called the STRINGSMAKER which sounds pretty appealing, though I can't find a thing about it on the internet. The Bassmaker sounds like exactly the pedal I've been looking for. Too bad it was in England and went for US$285.66 plus shipping.

1966 Gibson EB-2 Bass Aged Metallic Red
This one went for a shit mess of cash, but I feel okay about it. These things are expensive on a good day, and hardly ever this amazing looking. It's hard to look at this without wondering what it looked like new, and who has played it since 1966...

1978 BMW R-Series R100/7
Bidding only got up to $1,500 on this, people are jackasses. What an incredible machine, and such a great color. I'd load up those bags, pack a few cassettes and take her out to the mountains on a nice little getaway type deal, ON THE REGULAR.

100 % original bike (except new battery and tires) -- right down to the original toolkit under the seat.
Hop on and ride anywhere -- great power, super smooth ride -- rides like a new bike.
Paint and chrome in nice shape for a 34 year old bike -- see pictures.
Includes original BMW side bags and original Luftmeister fairing.
Odometer started spinning at 54,000. I've but approx 1,000 miles on since then. Currently reads 80K and change -- I could ride her another 1000 miles and spin her around to something artificially low again, but I don't roll that way :)
Good luck bidding!
Marshall PA Bins- $6,666
Some clown on the bay is trying to get the better part of seven grand for these, I wish him luck only in the hopes that maybe I'll own something ridiculous that I could get rid of for that much money... I would, however, be afraid of using these, they're too pretty to scratch.

Peavey Roadmaster Fullstack
This guy went for $380 on the ebay, and it was in CT, could have picked it up in the van. Wish I had unlimited space for shit like this. The cabs are amazing, built into road cases with removable covers for the speakers. I've spent more on shit I've enjoyed less. I bet this thing fucking cranks...

Setup works FANTASTIC!
The not so good first..Adhesive residue on the front panel as seen in pictures, Wheels are installed on one enclosure none on the other but the wheels are done, two are broken and need replacement.
Some scuffs on the enclosures from them doing their duty of protecting the speakers.
The usual patina on metal parts of the enclosures.
Amp is a bit dusty and there is a bit of oxidation on the fan grill as seen in pics..And the usual patina/light oxidation on the metal corner caps and inputs..I've yet to see a setup from this era or earlier that doesn't have "patina".
Not so bad right? Wish I had more space to upload pics...
Now the GOOD..
Entire setup works excellent and thunders like God himself is playing.
Speakers are as near mint as 20 plus year old speakers can be, No rips or tears no blemishes at all.
Enclosures are complete with the front panels.
Amp is in very good working condition all knobs and functions work as intended.
This includes the original foot switch which also works excellent.
This kit is HEAVY and LARGE this will require three separate boxes for shipping (Unless you want to do a local pickup..please please ; - )
Enclosures are 82lbs EACH when packed the Amp is 60lbs when packed.
